Odisha: Primary Schools To Reopen Post Diwali

The schools were cleaned and sanitized as a measure to prepare for the reopening.

According to a statement issued by School and Mass Education Minister Sameer Ranjan Dash, the classroom teaching will resume for all government, private and government fund aided Odia and English medium schools post Diwali.

It is noteworthy that, offline or physical classes for standards 8 resumed on 25th October and 11 on 21st October, through a prior notice from the School and Mass Education department.

The primary classes, that is from Standards 1 to 7 of schools in Odisha are all set to reopen post Diwali.  But the students have been given the option of attending classes online.

Official sources at the School and Mass Education (S&ME) Department had informed that the schools will reopen for classes 8 and 11 after the puja vacations.
