Bhubaneswar, Aug 30: Congress MLA Taraprasad Bahinipati, who was demanding the resignation of PCC president Niranjan Patnaik, has made a u-turn as he described the latter as ‘Elder brother’.
Bahinipati changed his tone ahead of the visit of Odisha Congress in-charge A Chellakumar.
“Niranjan Patnaik is like my Elder brother,” said Bahinipati.
Tara, the party whip in assembly, said that he has changed his mode and would work as per the direction of the party chief.
Notably, the senior legislator had questioned the leadership of the Congress Odisha president and threatening to quit the party, also Bahinipati had Said earlier If required he will make a new party and will give MLA and MP seat candidates.
He said Niranjan does not deserve to hold the post of the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president.
